Janez Mlakar, President of the Management Board
Janez Mlakar, born in 1966, has a degree in Economics from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Maribor.
He began his business management path in 1995 as the director of the company Leykam tiskarna d.o.o. from Hoče, which operates under the Austrian media and press concern Leykam medien AG from Graz. After eight years, he moved on to the hotel, tourism and health resort business area as the Management Board President of Terme Dobrna, d.d., a position he held for five years. He also gained rich experience with the management of medium and large companies in Steklarna Hrastnik, in the Krater Group as the Management Board President and CEO, and then as the CEO of the company Papir Servis. He began his term of office as the Management Board President of the Hit company on 3 April 2017.
Tevž Korent, Member of the Management Board
Tevž Korent, born in 1977, graduated from the Faculty of Tourism Studies Turistica as a tourism organiser.
After several years of managerial experience in sales and marketing at the companies Gospodarsko razstavišče and Terme Dobrna, he embarked on the path of entrepreneurship, where he also faced marketing business challenges. He continued his business path in the insurance company Vzajemna zdravstvena zavarovalnica and as the head of the business network support department at Deželna banka Slovenije. He began his term of office as a member of the Hit Management Board on 3 April 2017.
Marjan Zahar, Member of the Management Board and Worker’s Director
Marjan Zahar graduated from the Faculty of Administration and the Faculty of Management in Koper. He also attended courses at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana and training in the IT field. Currently, he is pursuing further studies at the Faculty of Tourism in Portorož.
He began working at Hit in 1985. He performed a range of jobs in the area of hospitality and casino operations, mostly in the field of cash operations. In 2006, he first became Worker’s Director and a member of the Hit Management Board. He began his third term as Worker’s Director in 2016.
