An exhibition of paintings, photographs, and ceramic works by members of the KUD Goriška paleta cultural association
As part of the Year of Zofka Kveder, the KUD Goriška paleta cultural association has organized the exhibition Her Life: A Tribute to Zofka Kveder. The exhibition pays tribute to the literary legacy of one of Slovenia’s most important writers while also highlighting the diverse life experiences of women, both past and present.
The exhibition brings together paintings, ceramic works, and photographs created during creative workshops led by academic painter Giga De Bree, ceramic artist Gregor Maver, and photographers Mojca Lipicer Stantič and Tomaž Lipicer. Through various artistic media, participants explored themes that were also central to Zofka Kveder’s work: female identity, family, motherhood, social roles, courage, creativity, and personal freedom.
The exhibition is not only a tribute to an exceptional creative figure but also a meeting place for stories, perspectives, and experiences of women from different generations. The artworks invite visitors to reflect on the life of Zofka Kveder and on the many lives of women who, through their strength, perseverance, and creativity, continue to shape our society today.
The exhibition will be on display until 31 August 2026.
