Visual storyteller Aleš Colja, who comes from Grgar, found his way into the world of photography through one of the most profound personal challenges of his life. For the past two and a half years, photography has grown from a spontaneous pastime into a passionate hobby—born from the question of how to regain strength, vitality, and purpose after undergoing heart surgery. From this turning point, from the desire to breathe fully again, emerged the inspiration behind his first solo exhibition: The Heart’s Path.
About the exhibition: Capturing the pulse of real life
The photographs on display are more than simple snapshots—they are intimate fragments of reality, captured through Aleš’s attentive lens. They reveal a kaleidoscope of natural and human richness: from the majestic glow of meadows and the playful movement of water, to autumn transformed into a vibrant storyteller of transience, and the magical interplay of light held in the quiet of the night.
The Heart’s Path is arranged into three thematic sections, each celebrating Aleš’s deep connection to colour, light, and the elusive charm of spontaneity.
